The Stewartstown Furniture company was established in Stewartstown Pennsylvania in 1903. The company used to manufacture bedroom, dining room and living room furniture. It was once a successful business, selling about $500,000 worth of furniture annually in the 1940’s. Once the railroad started to slow down the company eventually had to shut its  doors. I believe this shows the American Dream because the business was once thriving in the middle of the century like other businesses were and eventually faced obstacles and the owner probably was losing money and they had to close doors.
